Job Description
Role
You will be an Interaction Designer on the YouTube Brand Deals team, crafting user-centered experiences that help creators manage brand partnerships from discovery to execution. The role emphasizes high-fidelity prototyping (including AI-assisted “vibe coding”), integration with Creator Studio and YouTube surfaces, and collaboration across product, engineering, and research.
Key Responsibilities
- Design products that support creators managing brand partnerships, covering the full workflow from discovery to execution.
- Create high-fidelity prototypes and use AI-assisted “vibe coding” to demonstrate motion, transitions, and complex logic to stakeholders.
- Ensure brand deal features integrate seamlessly with Creator Studio and viewer-facing YouTube surfaces.
- Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Researchers to turn user insights into functional, visually polished, and accessible interfaces.
- Apply and contribute to the YouTube design system and Google design language to maintain visual quality and accessibility standards.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 1 year of interaction design experience in product or UX design.
- Include a portfolio or relevant work links with your application.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading design projects (1 year preferred).
- Experience with “vibe coding” or using modern tools (LLMs, generative UI) to accelerate the design-to-build process.
- Ability to learn new technical domains quickly and adapt to changing product requirements.
- Ability to articulate how a single feature change impacts a global user base.
- Passion for the creator economy, business generation systems, or two-sided marketplaces.
Compensation (US base)
- Base salary range: $110,000 - $157,000 (US). Compensation may also include bonus, equity, and benefits. Individual pay is determined by work location, skills, experience, and other factors.
