About the Role

Lead product management for ServiceNow's Build Agent to define and deliver AI-native developer experiences that convert natural language into secure, production-ready enterprise applications. Drive product strategy, customer engagement, and cross-functional execution to ensure high-quality, governed, and scalable agent capabilities on the Now Platform.

Job Description

Role

As Principal Product Manager for Build Agent on the Now Platform you will own end-to-end product capabilities for an autonomous development agent that turns natural language into secure, production-ready enterprise applications. You will translate ambiguous multimodal input into structured application logic, define the agent’s action space and integrations, and ensure generated artifacts meet enterprise security, governance, and reliability standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own feature and capability development for Build Agent, including product requirements, acceptance criteria, and release plans.
  • Translate customer and partner feedback into actionable requirements and feature specifications; engage directly with developers, citizen builders, and enterprise customers.
  • Break down strategy into epics and user stories, prioritize backlog, and coordinate sprint planning and release management with engineering.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with research, design, engineering, AI platform, and security/governance teams to align goals and manage dependencies.
  • Evaluate new model capabilities, plan experiments, and convert research insights into scalable product features.
  • Define product performance metrics (developer productivity, code quality, security compliance, user satisfaction) and create go-to-market readiness materials.
  • Advocate for and help establish best practices for AI-assisted development tools (context engineering, autonomous debugging workflows, governance frameworks, MCP/A2A integration patterns).
  • Engage customers through design partner programs and direct feedback sessions; communicate priorities and outcomes to internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of product management experience in enterprise SaaS and developer tools, with demonstrated experience shipping technical and AI-powered products.
  • Experience integrating AI into work processes and products, including hands-on experimentation and prototyping with AI tools; vibe coding experience is listed as a plus.
  • Experience working on developer tools and technical end users; familiarity with software development workflows, IDE integrations, and code generation platforms is strongly preferred.
  • Experience evaluating LLMs, AI agents, or generative AI solutions; familiarity with context engineering, search/RAG, autonomous agents, and AI reliability challenges.
  • Strong prioritization, stakeholder influence, communication skills, and ability to work in highly matrixed environments.
  • Ability to translate ambiguous problems into structured specifications and to work closely with engineers and customers.

Team Context

You will be part of Platform Core Experiences, responsible for AI-native experiences for developers and enterprise teams and for scaling agentic workflows and integrations across the Now Platform.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base pay range (location-dependent): $147,300 - $257,800 USD.
  • Additional compensation elements mentioned: equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation.
  • Benefits include health plans, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) Plan with company match, Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), matching donations, flexible time away plan, and family leave programs.

Notes

  • The role emphasizes strong technical problem-solving, experimentation with generative AI, and responsibility for enterprise-grade security and governance of generated artifacts.
