Prerequisites

Create or obtain a valid CPFHub API key from the CPFHub dashboard. This key is required for the server to authenticate API requests.

Required prerequisites (do these first if not already done):
- **Install Node.js 18+** — Node.js version 18 or higher is required to run the MCP server via npx. (https://nodejs.org/)
- **Get a CPFHub API key** — Create or obtain a valid CPFHub API key from the CPFHub dashboard. This key is required for the server to authenticate API requests. (https://app.cpfhub.io)

Canonical MCP server config (stdio transport):
- command: `npx`
- args: ["-y","@cpfhub/mcp"]
- required environment variables:
  - `CPFHUB_API_KEY`: CPFHub API key used to authenticate requests to the CPFHub API. (example: `<your-api-key>`)

Note: The README consistently shows the MCP server being run as a local stdio process via npx. Although the quick start omits -y, the client configuration examples include it; the npx -y form is the most portable choice.
