Agent402 is a self-hostable MCP and HTTP server that exposes about 1,100 deterministic tools for AI agents, including web browsing, search, PDFs, images, live data, crypto/payment helpers, and pure-CPU utilities. It can also optionally charge per call over x402, but runs free by default with no API keys or signup.

Canonical MCP server config (stdio transport):

Note: README offers both a hosted MCP endpoint (https://agent402.tools/mcp) and a local stdio MCP server. Per the portability rule, the canonical config uses the simplest local npx stdio path. No environment variables are required for the default free mode. The hosted connector is streamable HTTP, but it is not the selected canonical config here.

Add this MCP server to my current client's config in the correct format for you. If you need secrets or credentials I haven't provided, ASK me — do not invent values or leave raw placeholders. After adding it, tell me how to verify the server is connected.
