Prerequisites

Install attestix from PyPI
Install the attestix package into your Python environment.

Please install the `attestix` MCP server into my current AI client (that's you).

Required prerequisites (do these first if not already done):
- **Install attestix from PyPI** — Install the attestix package into your Python environment. Run: `pip install attestix` (https://pypi.org/project/attestix/)

Canonical MCP server config (stdio transport):
- command: `python`
- args: ["<path-to-attestix>/main.py"]
- optional environment variables:
  - `ATTESTIX_KEY_PASSWORD`: Optional password to enable AES-256-GCM encryption of local key storage (example: `<your-password>`)

Note: The README's stdio config invokes main.py directly; pip install is a prerequisite to make the module available. An optional REST API (uvicorn) and Streamlit dashboard are also offered but are not the MCP integration.
