Prerequisites

Install Aurekai MCP globally
Install the MCP server package so the `aurekai-mcp` command is available on your PATH.

Install Aurekai native runtime
The server's tools require the `akai` binary from the Aurekai native runtime to be available on PATH, or you must provide its location via `AKAI_BIN`. Without it, tools return an error.

  - `AKAI_BIN`: Optional path to the `akai` runtime binary if it is not already available on PATH. (example: `<path-to-akai-binary>`)
  - `AKAI_MCP_HTTP_PORT`: Optional port to enable the server's Streamable HTTP transport instead of default stdio mode. (example: `<port>`)

Note: Default transport is stdio. The server also supports Streamable HTTP by starting `aurekai-mcp` with `AKAI_MCP_HTTP_PORT` set and then serving JSON-RPC at `http://127.0.0.1:<port>/mcp`, but the README does not provide a standalone remote HTTP deployment config shape.

Add this MCP server to my current client's config in the correct format for you. If you need secrets or credentials I haven't provided, ASK me — do not invent values or leave raw placeholders. After adding it, tell me how to verify the server is connected.
