Badge is an MCP tool that allows AI agents to declare themselves as authorized actors when shopping on behalf of real humans, facilitating smoother interactions with merchants.
From the registry: Agents are not bots. Prove it. MCP-native identity declaration for authorized agents.
Please install the `badge` MCP server into my current AI client (that's you).
Required prerequisites (do these first if not already done):
- **Install Node.js 20+** — Badge requires Node.js 20 or newer; Node 18 is unsupported. (https://nodejs.org)
Canonical MCP server config (stdio transport):
- command: `npx`
- args: ["@kyalabs/badge"]
- optional environment variables:
- `KYA_API_KEY`: Optional API key from kyalabs.io/signup to enroll at merchants and build trust history. (example: `<your-kya-api-key>`)
- `KYA_PING`: Set to 'false' to disable the anonymous server-start ping. (example: `false`)
- `KYA_EXTENDED_AUTH`: Set to 'true' to enable extended post-presentation auth checks. (example: `true`)
Note: Works without any API key (guest mode). Paid API key upgrades to enrolled mode.
Add this MCP server to my current client's config in the correct format for you. If you need secrets or credentials I haven't provided, ASK me — do not invent values or leave raw placeholders.
