MCP server for macOS that provides access to Calendar.app, allowing MCP hosts to list, search, create, update, and delete calendar events across all accounts configured in Calendar.app. It reads calendar data directly from Calendar's local SQLite database for query tools and uses AppleScript automation for write actions.
From the registry: List, search, and manage calendar events via macOS Calendar.app across all configured accounts.
Please install the `calendar-mcp` MCP server into my current AI client (that's you).
Required prerequisites (do these first if not already done):
- **macOS** — Requires macOS because the server integrates with Calendar.app.
- **Node.js 20+** — Install Node.js version 20 or later to run the server via npx.
- **Grant Full Disk Access to the MCP host application** — Give the application that launches the MCP server (for example, your MCP host) Full Disk Access in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Full Disk Access.
- **Grant Automation → Calendar permission to the MCP host application** — Allow the application that launches the MCP server to automate Calendar.app in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Automation.
Canonical MCP server config (stdio transport):
- command: `npx`
- args: ["@p-l-ta/calendar-mcp"]
Note: The README also mentions a global install path (`npm install -g @p-l-ta/calendar-mcp` then run `calendar-mcp`), but the portable recommended config is `npx @p-l-ta/calendar-mcp`. The server uses stdio transport and does not require any environment variables.
Add this MCP server to my current client's config in the correct format for you. If you need secrets or credentials I haven't provided, ASK me — do not invent values or leave raw placeholders. After adding it, tell me how to verify the server is connected.Atlassian Rovo MCP Server
