Install & configure
Prerequisites

Please install the `cargo` MCP server into my current AI client (that's you).
Required prerequisites (do these first if not already done):
- **Install Node.js and npm** — Node.js is required to run the MCP server via npx. (https://nodejs.org/)
- **Install Rust/Cargo** — The server wraps the cargo CLI, so Rust and Cargo must be installed and available on PATH for the tools to work. (https://www.rust-lang.org/tools/install)
Canonical MCP server config (stdio transport):

Note: Quick start uses npx to launch the server. No environment variables are documented in the README.
