This MCP server provides interoperability between DICOM, HL7v2, and FHIR, including optional PACS connectivity.

Canonical MCP server config (stdio transport):

- optional environment variables:
- `DICOM_HL7_LICENSE_KEY`: Premium license key (required for mapping, Mirth channel generation, and PACS tools). (example: `<your-license-key>`)
- `DICOM_HL7_LOG_LEVEL`: Logging level (default INFO). (example: `INFO`)
- `DICOM_HL7_PACS_AE_TITLE`: Remote PACS AE title for DIMSE connectivity. (example: `<your-pacs-ae>`)
- `DICOM_HL7_PACS_HOST`: Remote PACS hostname or IP. (example: `<your-pacs-host>`)
- `DICOM_HL7_PACS_PORT`: Remote PACS port. (example: `4242`)
- `DICOM_HL7_LOCAL_AE_TITLE`: Local AE title to use (default DICOM_HL7_MCP). (example: `CLAUDE_MCP`)
- `DICOM_HL7_DICOMWEB_URL`: DICOMweb base URL (QIDO-RS/WADO-RS). (example: `<your-dicomweb-url>`)
- `DICOM_HL7_DICOMWEB_AUTH`: Auth type: none, bearer, or basic. (example: `bearer`)
- `DICOM_HL7_DICOMWEB_TOKEN`: Bearer token for DICOMweb auth. (example: `<your-dicomweb-token>`)
- `DICOM_HL7_DICOMWEB_USERNAME`: Basic auth username for DICOMweb. (example: `<your-dicomweb-username>`)
- `DICOM_HL7_DICOMWEB_PASSWORD`: Basic auth password for DICOMweb. (example: `<your-dicomweb-password>`)
- `DICOM_HL7_PACS_PROTOCOL`: PACS protocol: auto, dimse, or dicomweb. (example: `auto`)
- `DICOM_HL7_PACS_ALLOW_RETRIEVE`: Set to true to enable C-MOVE retrieval. (example: `false`)
- `DICOM_HL7_PHI_REDACT`: Set to true to redact patient name/ID in output. (example: `false`)
Note: Free tier covers DICOM tag lookup, HL7 parsing. Premium license unlocks mapping, PACS connectivity, and Mirth channel generation. For PACS use: uvx --with 'dicom-hl7-mcp[pacs]' dicom-hl7-mcp.
