MCP server for creating, reading, editing, merging, and exporting Word .docx documents from agent workflows. It supports markdown-to-docx generation, text replacement, table insertion, document stats, and PDF export via LibreOffice or pandoc.

$ sudo apt-get install libreoffice
sudo apt-get install pandocPlease install the `docx-forge` MCP server into my current AI client (that's you).
Required prerequisites (do these first if not already done):
- **Install Node.js 18+** — Node.js version 18.0.0 or later is required to run the MCP server via npx or as a global npm package. (https://nodejs.org/)
Optional prerequisites:
- Install LibreOffice or pandoc for PDF export (optional) — Required only if you plan to use the export_to_pdf tool. The server tries LibreOffice first, then pandoc. Run: `sudo apt-get install libreoffice
sudo apt-get install pandoc`
Canonical MCP server config (stdio transport):
- command: `npx`
- args: ["docx-forge-mcp"]
Note: The README provides stdio configuration via npx as the simplest install path. No environment variables are documented. A global install path (npm install -g docx-forge-mcp) is also available but is less portable than npx.
Add this MCP server to my current client's config in the correct format for you. If you need secrets or credentials I haven't provided, ASK me — do not invent values or leave raw placeholders. After adding it, tell me how to verify the server is connected.Comprehensive PostgreSQL documentation and best practices, including ecosystem tools
