An MCP server that wraps eBay's Browse API to search listings, fetch a single item by ID, and compute aggregated price checks for a query. It uses application-token authentication with cached OAuth credentials and supports production or sandbox eBay environments.
From the registry: eBay Browse API MCP server — buy-side listing search and price intelligence.
$ git clone https://github.com/cunicopia-dev/ebay-mcp && cd ebay-mcp && python3.12 -m venv .venv && source .venv/bin/activate && pip install -e .https://github.com/cunicopia-dev/ebay-mcpPlease install the `ebay-mcp` MCP server into my current AI client (that's you).
Required prerequisites (do these first if not already done):
- **Install Python 3.12+** — Python 3.12 or newer is required to run the server.
- **Clone the repository and install the package** — Set up a virtual environment and install the server locally from source, since the README only documents a local editable install path. Run: `git clone https://github.com/cunicopia-dev/ebay-mcp && cd ebay-mcp && python3.12 -m venv .venv && source .venv/bin/activate && pip install -e .` (https://github.com/cunicopia-dev/ebay-mcp)
- **Create an eBay developer application keyset** — A free eBay developer app keyset is required. You need the app ID and cert ID for either production or sandbox. (https://developer.ebay.com/)
Canonical MCP server config (stdio transport):
- command: `<path-to-ebay-mcp-install>/.venv/bin/ebay-mcp`
- args: []
- required environment variables:
- `EBAY_PRODUCTION_APP_ID`: eBay production app ID. Required when using the default production environment via environment variables. (example: `<your-production-app-id>`)
- `EBAY_PRODUCTION_CERT_ID`: eBay production cert ID. Required when using the default production environment via environment variables. (example: `<your-production-cert-id>`)
- optional environment variables:
- `EBAY_ENV`: Active eBay environment to use. Selects both the keyset and API base URL together. If omitted, production is used by default. (example: `<production-or-sandbox>`)
- `EBAY_SANDBOX_APP_ID`: eBay sandbox app ID. Needed when EBAY_ENV is set to sandbox and credentials are supplied via environment variables. (example: `<your-sandbox-app-id>`)
- `EBAY_SANDBOX_CERT_ID`: eBay sandbox cert ID. Needed when EBAY_ENV is set to sandbox and credentials are supplied via environment variables. (example: `<your-sandbox-cert-id>`)
Note: The server also supports reading credentials from ~/.ebay-mcp.toml instead of environment variables. Environment variables take priority. If using the TOML file, no env vars are required in the MCP client config.
Add this MCP server to my current client's config in the correct format for you. If you need secrets or credentials I haven't provided, ASK me — do not invent values or leave raw placeholders. After adding it, tell me how to verify the server is connected.EBAY_ENVSelects the active eBay environment/keyset and API base URL, such as production or sandbox.EBAY_*_APP_IDeBay application keyset credentials used to authenticate with the Browse API via client credentials.Meta Ads MCP (Facebook + Instagram) - analyze performance, manage budgets, pause campaigns.
