Eos Mcp

Please install the `eos-mcp` MCP server into my current AI client (that's you).

Required prerequisites (do these first if not already done):
- **Install Python 3.10+** — Python 3.10 or newer is required to run eos-mcp.
- **Install eos-mcp** — Install the MCP server package from PyPI. Run: `pip install eos-mcp`
- **Prepare Arista EOS devices** — Ensure target Arista EOS devices have eAPI enabled with management api http-commands and are reachable on port 443 (HTTPS).
- **Create EOS MCP config file** — Copy config.ini.example to a config location such as ~/.config/eos-mcp/config.ini and fill in device credentials and host entries.

Canonical MCP server config (stdio transport):

- optional environment variables:
  - `EOS_MCP_CONFIG`: Optional path to the eos-mcp config.ini file. If not set, the server checks --config_path, ./config.ini, and ~/.config/eos-mcp/config.ini. (example: `<path-to-config.ini>`)

Note: The server uses stdio by default. Device credentials and inventory are configured in an external INI file rather than MCP env vars. Config file discovery order: --config_path argument, EOS_MCP_CONFIG environment variable, ./config.ini, then ~/.config/eos-mcp/config.ini. Typical INI fields shown in the README include DEFAULT.username, DEFAULT.password, DEFAULT.transport, DEFAULT.verify, and per-device sections such as [<device-hostname>] with optional tags.

Add this MCP server to my current client's config in the correct format for you. If you need secrets or credentials I haven't provided, ASK me — do not invent values or leave raw placeholders. After adding it, tell me how to verify the server is connected.
