An MCP server for Extracto that lets clients extract structured, typed JSON from a URL using a user-provided schema. It supports synchronous and asynchronous extraction and returns missing fields as null instead of guessing.
From the registry: Turn any URL plus a schema into validated, typed JSON via the Extracto API.
Please install the `extracto-mcp` MCP server into my current AI client (that's you).
Optional prerequisites:
- Get an Extracto API key — Create an Extracto API key from the Extracto dashboard; this key is required for the server to work. Canonical MCP server config (stdio transport):
- command: `npx`
- args: ["-y","extracto-mcp"]
- required environment variables:
- `EXTRACTO_API_KEY`: Your Extracto API key from the Extracto dashboard. (example: `<your-extracto-api-key>`)
- optional environment variables:
- `EXTRACTO_BASE_URL`: Override the Extracto API host. (example: `<your-extracto-base-url>`)
- `EXTRACTO_TIMEOUT_MS`: Per-request timeout in milliseconds. (example: `<your-timeout-ms>`)
Note: The README states the server runs over stdio and is published to npm. Prefer the npm invocation over running from source.
Add this MCP server to my current client's config in the correct format for you. If you need secrets or credentials I haven't provided, ASK me — do not invent values or leave raw placeholders.
