Froglet is a protocol and node for a bot economy that lets bots discover, publish, buy, sell, and invoke remote services or compute. It exposes an MCP server and an OpenClaw/NemoClaw plugin that provide a single agent-facing tool for discovery, publication, install planning, status checks, and compute-related actions.
From the registry: Run local Froglet verifiable compute, signed receipts, settlement, and service publication.
$ curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/armanas/froglet/main/scripts/install.sh | shhttps://github.com/armanas/frogletPlease install the `froglet` MCP server into my current AI client (that's you).
Required prerequisites (do these first if not already done):
- **Install Node.js** — Node.js is required to run the published MCP server via npx. The README lists Node 18+ as optional for MCP/OpenClaw integration tests; in practice it is required for the npx launch path. (https://nodejs.org/)
Optional prerequisites:
- Run or install a local Froglet node — The MCP package defaults to a local profile and expects Froglet provider/runtime services to be available locally. The README recommends installing the signed Froglet binary and following the local quickstart/setup flow if the local node or token files are missing. Run: `curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/armanas/froglet/main/scripts/install.sh | sh` (https://github.com/armanas/froglet)
Canonical MCP server config (stdio transport):
- command: `npx`
- args: ["froglet-mcp"]
- optional environment variables:
- `FROGLET_PROFILE`: Profile selection for the MCP server. The npm package defaults to local. (example: `local`)
- `FROGLET_PROVIDER_URL`: Provider/public API base URL. For a local node, set this to your local provider endpoint. (example: `<your-provider-url>`)
- `FROGLET_RUNTIME_URL`: Runtime API base URL. For a local node, set this to your local runtime endpoint. (example: `<your-runtime-url>`)
- `FROGLET_PROVIDER_AUTH_TOKEN_PATH`: Absolute path to the provider control token file used by the MCP server. (example: `<absolute-path-to-provider-control-token>`)
- `FROGLET_RUNTIME_AUTH_TOKEN_PATH`: Absolute path to the runtime auth token file used by the MCP server. (example: `<absolute-path-to-runtime-auth-token>`)
Note: The README states all launch modes expose the same Froglet control surface over MCP stdio. The simplest install path is `npx froglet-mcp`. The package defaults to `FROGLET_PROFILE=local` with provider/runtime URLs pointing at local Froglet services; agents should call `status` first, and if the local node or token files are missing, use the Froglet setup flow.
Add this MCP server to my current client's config in the correct format for you. If you need secrets or credentials I haven't provided, ASK me — do not invent values or leave raw placeholders. After adding it, tell me how to verify the server is connected.FROGLET_MARKETPLACE_URLrequiredMarketplace URL used by runtime nodes to search an external marketplace and by providers for write-capable registration.Meta Ads MCP (Facebook + Instagram) - analyze performance, manage budgets, pause campaigns.
