Install & configure
Prerequisites

Please install the `front-mcp` MCP server into my current AI client (that's you).
Required prerequisites (do these first if not already done):
- **Front API token** — Get an API token from Front: Settings > Developers > API tokens (https://dev.frontapp.com/reference)
Canonical MCP server config (stdio transport):
- command: `npx`
- args: ["-y","@houst-com/front-mcp"]
- required environment variables:
- `FRONT_API_TOKEN`: Front API token (example: `<your-front-api-token>`)
- optional environment variables:
- `FRONT_MCP_AUTH_METHOD`: 'oauth' or 'api_token' (default: api_token) (example: `api_token`)
- `FRONT_MCP_OAUTH_SECRET`: OAuth client secret (required if using oauth method) (example: `<your-oauth-secret>`)
- `FRONT_MCP_LOG_LEVEL`: error/warn/info/debug (example: `info`)
- `FRONT_MCP_POLICY_FILE`: Path to custom policy JSON file (example: `~/.front-mcp/policy.json`)
Note: 26 tools / 172 actions. OAuth mode supported as alternative to API token.
