Required prerequisites (do these first if not already done):
- **Python 3.10+** — Python 3.10 or newer required (https://www.python.org/downloads/)
- **Poetry** — Install Poetry dependency manager Run: `curl -sSL https://install.python-poetry.org | python3 -` (https://python-poetry.org/)
- **Clone and install** — Clone the repo and run poetry install Run: `git clone https://github.com/fkom13/gencodedoc && cd gencodedoc && poetry install` (https://github.com/fkom13/gencodedoc)
Canonical MCP server config (stdio transport):
- command: `python`
- args: ["-m","gencodedoc.mcp.server_stdio"]
- required environment variables:
- `PROJECT_PATH`: Absolute path to the project gencodedoc should manage (example: `<your-project-path>`)
Note: Requires running via the Poetry venv Python (find with `poetry env info --path`). Also supports SSE (http://127.0.0.1:8000/mcp/sse) and REST transports.
Add this MCP server to my current client's config in the correct format for you. If you need secrets or credentials I haven't provided, ASK me — do not invent values or leave raw placeholders. After adding it, tell me how to verify the server is connected.PROJECT_PATHrequiredPath to the project directoryComprehensive PostgreSQL documentation and best practices, including ecosystem tools
