GraphPilot is a local CLI and MCP server that indexes a TypeScript/JavaScript repository into a structural code graph with symbols, callers, callees, and impact information. Coding agents can query that on-disk graph over MCP to answer refactoring and dependency questions without repeatedly grepping files.

$ node --versionhttps://nodejs.org/$ npx @graphpilot-oss/graphpilot --version$ npx @graphpilot-oss/graphpilot index <path-to-your-repo>Please install the `graphpilot` MCP server into my current AI client (that's you).
Required prerequisites (do these first if not already done):
- **Install Node.js 20 or newer** — GraphPilot requires Node.js version 20 or later. Run: `node --version` (https://nodejs.org/)
- **Install the GraphPilot npm package** — Install the GraphPilot CLI globally, or use the package via npx. Prefer the npx form for portability. Run: `npx @graphpilot-oss/graphpilot --version`
- **Index your TypeScript or JavaScript repository** — GraphPilot's MCP server is read-only and requires an existing on-disk index. Run indexing once per project before using the MCP server; optional watch mode can keep it fresh. Run: `npx @graphpilot-oss/graphpilot index <path-to-your-repo>`
Canonical MCP server config (stdio transport):
- command: `npx`
- args: ["@graphpilot-oss/graphpilot","mcp"]
Note: GraphPilot exposes MCP over stdio. The MCP server reads a previously built local index from ~/.graphpilot/, so you must run `index` at least once before agent use. Optional maintenance commands include `npx @graphpilot-oss/graphpilot watch <path-to-your-repo>` to keep the index fresh and `gp_index` from inside the agent to refresh after edits.
Add this MCP server to my current client's config in the correct format for you. If you need secrets or credentials I haven't provided, ASK me — do not invent values or leave raw placeholders. After adding it, tell me how to verify the server is connected.Trending hip-hop artist momentum scores across four cultural dimensions.
