An MCP server that exposes GroupDocs.Watermark as AI-callable tools for adding, finding, removing, and inspecting watermarks in documents and images. It supports common file formats like PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, PNG, and JPG.
From the registry: MCP server for GroupDocs.Watermark — add and search document watermarks via AI agents.
Please install the `groupdocs-watermark-mcp` MCP server into my current AI client (that's you).
Required prerequisites (do these first if not already done):
- **.NET 10 SDK** — Install the .NET 10 SDK, which is required to run the server via dnx (recommended) or as a global dotnet tool. (https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet/10.0.)
Canonical MCP server config (stdio transport):
- command: `dnx`
- args: ["GroupDocs.Watermark.Mcp","--yes"]
- optional environment variables:
- `GROUPDOCS_MCP_STORAGE_PATH`: Base folder for input and output files. Defaults to the current directory. (example: `<path-to-documents>`)
- `GROUPDOCS_MCP_OUTPUT_PATH`: Optional separate folder for output files. Defaults to GROUPDOCS_MCP_STORAGE_PATH. (example: `<path-to-output-folder>`)
- `GROUPDOCS_LICENSE_PATH`: Path to a GroupDocs license file. If omitted, the server runs in evaluation mode and output documents may include an additional evaluation watermark. (example: `<path-to-license-file>`)
Note: Preferred install path is running directly with dnx. For reproducible setups, the README recommends pinning the package version in args, e.g. GroupDocs.Watermark.Mcp@<version> instead of GroupDocs.Watermark.Mcp. Docker and global dotnet tool options are also documented, but dnx is the simplest portable configuration.
Add this MCP server to my current client's config in the correct format for you. If you need secrets or credentials I haven't provided, ASK me — do not invent values or leave raw placeholders.
