An MCP server for HEOR workflows that can search literature across 42 data sources, screen studies, assess risk of bias, build cost-effectiveness models, and draft HTA dossiers. It also provides persistent project knowledge-base tools for storing and querying evidence and reports.
From the registry: HEOR MCP server: literature search, CEA, BIA, NMA/MAIC, HTA dossiers (NICE/FDA/EMA/JCA).
Please install the `heor-agent` MCP server into my current AI client (that's you).
Optional prerequisites:
- Install Node.js 20 or newer — Node.js 20+ is required to run the MCP server via npx. (https://nodejs.org/'}]}]},)
Canonical MCP server config (stdio transport):
- command: `npx`
- args: ["heor-agent-mcp"]
- optional environment variables:
- `ELSEVIER_API_KEY`: API key for enterprise data sources Embase and ScienceDirect. (example: `<your-elsevier-api-key>`)
- `COCHRANE_API_KEY`: API key for Cochrane Library enterprise access. (example: `<your-cochrane-api-key>`)
- `CITELINE_API_KEY`: API key for Citeline enterprise access. (example: `<your-citeline-api-key>`)
- `PHARMAPENDIUM_API_KEY`: API key for Pharmapendium enterprise access. (example: `<your-pharmapendium-api-key>`)
- `CORTELLIS_API_KEY`: API key for Cortellis enterprise access. (example: `<your-cortellis-api-key>`)
- `SERPAPI_KEY`: API key for Google Scholar access via SerpAPI. (example: `<your-serpapi-key>`)
- `HEOR_KB_ROOT`: Override the knowledge base root directory. Default is ~/.heor-agent. (example: `<your-heor-kb-root>`)
- `HEOR_PROXY_URL`: Localhost proxy URL for enterprise APIs behind a corporate VPN. (example: `<your-proxy-url>`)
- `HEOR_API_KEY`: API key for the hosted tier, marked as future/optional in the README. (example: `<your-heor-api-key>`)
Note: The README documents both stdio and HTTP modes. For MCP client configuration, stdio is the default and simplest portable install path: npx heor-agent-mcp. HTTP mode is available for hosted deployment via `npx heor-agent-mcp --http` and supports MCP Streamable HTTP, with MCP_HTTP_PORT controlling the port, but no canonical remote URL/header-based MCP client config is required for the standard local install path.
Add this MCP server to my current client's config in the correct format for you. If you need secrets or credentials I haven't provided, ASK me — do not invent values or leave raw placeholders. After adding it, tell me how to verify the server is connected.ELSEVIER_API_KEYrequiredAPI key for Embase and ScienceDirect enterprise sourcesCOCHRANE_API_KEYrequiredAPI key for the Cochrane Library enterprise sourceCITELINE_API_KEYrequiredAPI key for the Citeline enterprise sourcePHARMAPENDIUM_API_KEYrequiredAPI key for the Pharmapendium enterprise sourceCORTELLIS_API_KEYrequiredAPI key for the Cortellis enterprise sourceSERPAPI_KEYrequiredAPI key for Google Scholar access via SerpAPIMCP server for searching Airweave collections with natural language queries.
