Mimic AI is an MCP server that drives a Figma plugin to build real Figma screens from prompts, HTML, or existing exports using the enabled design system's components, variables, text styles, and auto-layout. It also audits each build to report missing design-system coverage and rule violations.

$ bash <(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/miapre/mimic-ai/main/install.sh)Please install the `html-to-figma-design-system` MCP server into my current AI client (that's you).
Required prerequisites (do these first if not already done):
- **Install Node.js v20.6+** — Node.js 20.6 or newer is required to run the MCP server via npx. (https://nodejs.org/)
- **Install Figma desktop app** — The desktop version of Figma is required; browser Figma is not supported. (https://www.figma.com/downloads/)
- **Use Figma Professional plan or above** — A paid Figma plan is required to publish and use team libraries for design system support.
- **Import the Mimic AI Figma plugin** — In Figma, go to Plugins > Development > Import plugin from manifest, then select ~/mimic-ai/plugin/manifest.json. The README notes all clients need the Figma plugin active.
- **Run the installer for full team library support** — The README's primary install path is the shell installer. It sets up the local plugin/bridge files used by Mimic. The README also notes that npx mode does not set FIGMA_ACCESS_TOKEN and should use the full installer for team library support. Run: `bash <(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/miapre/mimic-ai/main/install.sh)`
- **Generate a Figma Personal Access Token** — For team library support, create a Figma personal access token with read-only scopes: current_user:read, file_content:read, file_metadata:read, library_assets:read, library_content:read.
- **Enable your design system library in the Figma file** — In the Figma file where you will build, open the Assets panel, click the Team library icon, and toggle on the desired library. This is required once per file.
- **Start the Mimic AI plugin in each Figma session** — For each session, run Figma > Plugins > Development > Mimic AI > Run. The embedded bridge starts automatically on the first tool call.
Canonical MCP server config (stdio transport):
- command: `npx`
- args: ["-y","@miapre/mimic-ai"]
Note: The README provides a stdio MCP configuration using npx. However, it also states that npx mode does not set FIGMA_ACCESS_TOKEN and recommends using the full installer for team library support. No canonical env vars are shown for MCP config in the README, so env is empty.
Add this MCP server to my current client's config in the correct format for you. If you need secrets or credentials I haven't provided, ASK me — do not invent values or leave raw placeholders. After adding it, tell me how to verify the server is connected.Make 3D games in Unity Engine with AI. MCP Server + Plugin for Unity Editor and Unity games.
