An MCP server that exposes the Toast POS API as LLM-callable tools for restaurant operations like inventory, orders, menu management, labor, analytics, and delivery tracking. It lets AI agents query and act on Toast data directly, including third-party delivery order breakdowns.
From the registry: 🍓🫙 MCP server for Toast POS — restaurant operations, inventory, orders, analytics, and insights
Please install the `jam` MCP server into my current AI client (that's you).
Required prerequisites (do these first if not already done):
- **Install Node.js 24+** — Node.js version 24 or newer is required to run the MCP server via npx.
- **Create a Toast developer account** — You need Toast API credentials to use the server. (https://www.toasttab.com)
- **Obtain your Toast Restaurant GUID** — You need your Toast Restaurant GUID for server configuration.
Canonical MCP server config (stdio transport):
- command: `npx`
- args: ["@dokdosolutions/toast-mcp"]
- required environment variables:
- `TOAST_CLIENT_ID`: Toast API client ID. (example: `<your-toast-client-id>`)
- `TOAST_CLIENT_SECRET`: Toast API client secret. (example: `<your-toast-client-secret>`)
- `TOAST_RESTAURANT_GUID`: Toast restaurant GUID. (example: `<your-toast-restaurant-guid>`)
Note: Preferred install path is the npm package via npx. The README also shows a local source build and a Claude Desktop example using node with a built dist/index.js path, but the portable canonical configuration is to run the published package with npx.
Add this MCP server to my current client's config in the correct format for you. If you need secrets or credentials I haven't provided, ASK me — do not invent values or leave raw placeholders.
