  - `MAXIMO_PASSWORD`: Maximo password. Required when AUTH_MODE is basic. (example: `<your-maximo-password>`)
  - `CURRENT_USER_ROLE`: Session role for local or trusted deployments. (example: `<your-role>`)
  - `REDIS_URL`: Redis cache connection string. (example: `<your-redis-url>`)
  - `VPN_SAFE_MODE`: Enables safer default payload sizes. (example: `<true-or-false>`)
  - `DEFAULT_PAGE_SIZE`: Default page size when safe mode is enabled. (example: `<page-size>`)

Note: The README also supports hosted remote access over SSE. Hosted mode runs with `python server.py --http --host 0.0.0.0 --port 8080` and remote clients connect to the SSE endpoint `/sse` with an `Authorization: Bearer <your-mcp-access-token>` header. In hosted mode, `MCP_ACCESS_TOKEN` is required, along with the Maximo connection environment variables. The README does not provide a canonical packaged command for hosted mode beyond running `server.py` directly, so stdio via uvx is the preferred portable configuration.
