MCP server that extends mcp-atlassian for Jira and Confluence workflows, adding tools for issue creation/update with custom fields, links, attachments, agile boards and sprints, users, versions, and Confluence calendar/time-off planning. It supports Jira and Confluence Cloud or Data Center/self-hosted deployments and is meant to run alongside the base mcp-atlassian server.

Required prerequisites (do these first if not already done):
- **Install uv** — Required for uvx (https://docs.astral.sh/uv/getting-started/installation/)
- **Jira/Confluence API token** — Generate API tokens for Jira and/or Confluence
Canonical MCP server config (stdio transport):
- command: `uvx`
- args: ["mcp-atlassian-extended"]
- optional environment variables:
- `JIRA_URL`: Jira instance URL (example: `https://your-company.atlassian.net`)
- `JIRA_USERNAME`: Jira user email (example: `[email protected]`)
- `JIRA_API_TOKEN`: Jira API token (example: `<your-api-key>`)
- `CONFLUENCE_URL`: Confluence instance URL (example: `https://your-company.atlassian.net/wiki`)
- `CONFLUENCE_USERNAME`: Confluence user email (example: `[email protected]`)
- `CONFLUENCE_API_TOKEN`: Confluence API token (example: `<your-api-key>`)
Note: Extends mcp-atlassian with extra tools; run alongside the base server.
