Required prerequisites (do these first if not already done):
- **Shodan API key** — Get from shodan.io account Run: `pip install mcp-shodan` (https://www.shodan.io/)
Canonical MCP server config (stdio transport):

- args: []
- required environment variables:
- `SHODAN_API_KEY`: Shodan API key (example: `<your-api-key>`)
Note: Install via 'pip install mcp-shodan' first. The command 'mcp-shodan' must be on PATH.
