Prerequisites

Install and activate the MCPWP WordPress plugin
Install the MCPWP plugin on your WordPress site so it can expose the MCP endpoint and generate API keys.

Required prerequisites (do these first if not already done):
- **Install and activate the MCPWP WordPress plugin** — Install the MCPWP plugin on your WordPress site so it can expose the MCP endpoint and generate API keys. Run: `wp plugin install https://mumega.com/spai-updates/mumega-site-pilot-ai-latest.zip --activate` (https://mumega.com/spai-updates/mumega-site-pilot-ai-latest.zip},{)

Canonical MCP server config (stdio transport):
- command: `npx`
- args: ["-y","@mcpwp.net/mcpwp"]
- required environment variables:
  - `WP_URL`: The base URL of your WordPress site running the MCPWP plugin. (example: `<your-wordpress-site-url>`)
  - `WP_API_KEY`: API key created in MCPWP for accessing your WordPress site. (example: `<your-api-key>`)

Note: README also documents a direct Streamable HTTP connection to the WordPress MCP endpoint using URL <your-wordpress-site-url>/wp-json/site-pilot-ai/v1/mcp with header X-API-Key: <your-api-key>. Preferred portable install path is the recommended stdio npx launcher.
