Converts Markdown into DOCX, PDF, and HTML using MDMagic templates, including built-in templates and user-uploaded Word templates. It also provides preflight validation, conversion cost estimation, credit balance checks, and template lookup/recommendation tools.
From the registry: Use your own Word templates to convert Markdown → DOCX/PDF/HTML from any MCP-compatible AI.
Please install the `mdmagic-mcp-server` MCP server into my current AI client (that's you).
Required prerequisites (do these first if not already done):
- **Install Node.js** — Required to run the MCP server via npx for the local stdio setup. (https://nodejs.org/)
- **Create an MDMagic account and get an API key** — Sign up for MDMagic and copy your personal API key from the account page. (https://mdmagic.ai/account)
Canonical MCP server config (stdio transport):
- command: `npx`
- args: ["-y","@mdmagic/mcp-server@latest"]
- required environment variables:
- `MDMAGIC_API_KEY`: Your personal MDMagic API key. (example: `<your-mdmagic-api-key>`)
- optional environment variables:
- `MDMAGIC_BASE_URL`: Override the MDMagic API base URL for local development or staging. (example: `<your-mdmagic-base-url>`)
- `REQUEST_TIMEOUT`: Request timeout in milliseconds. (example: `<request-timeout-ms>`)
- `MCP_TRANSPORT`: Transport mode for the server. Default is stdio; can be set to http for self-hosted Streamable HTTP mode. (example: `<stdio-or-http>`)
- `MCP_HTTP_PORT`: Port to bind when running in HTTP transport mode. (example: `<http-port>`)
- `MCP_HTTP_HOST`: Host/address to bind when running in HTTP transport mode. (example: `<http-host>`)
Note: README also documents a hosted endpoint for clients that support remote MCP over HTTP: URL https://api.mdmagic.ai/mcp with header x-api-key: <your-mdmagic-api-key>. The simplest portable install path is the local stdio npx setup, so that is the primary canonical config.
Add this MCP server to my current client's config in the correct format for you. If you need secrets or credentials I haven't provided, ASK me — do not invent values or leave raw placeholders. After adding it, tell me how to verify the server is connected.MDMAGIC_API_KEYrequiredPersonal API key used to authenticate with the MDMagic API.Comprehensive PostgreSQL documentation and best practices, including ecosystem tools
