An MCP server exposing Mercury's catalog of web-data tools over x402 so an agent can pay per call with a Base mainnet wallet and receive signed provenance receipts. It includes tools such as fetch, markdown conversion, structured extraction, link graph, robots, diff, notarization, headers, table extraction, feed, availability, validation, batch, sitemap, DNS, readability, and redirect.
From the registry: Agent-payable web data over x402: 18 keyless services an agent pays per call.
Please install the `mercury-x402-mcp` MCP server into my current AI client (that's you).
Required prerequisites (do these first if not already done):
- **Node.js and npx** — Install Node.js so you can run the MCP server with npx.
Optional prerequisites:
- Base mainnet wallet private key — Create or use a Base mainnet wallet and have its private key available for paid tools.
- Fund wallet with a small amount of USDC — For paid Mercury tools, fund your Base mainnet wallet with a small amount of USDC. The mercury_catalog and mercury_verify tools can be used without a wallet.
Canonical MCP server config (stdio transport):
- command: `npx`
- args: ["-y","mercury-x402-mcp"]
- optional environment variables:
- `MERCURY_PRIVATE_KEY`: Your Base mainnet wallet private key used to pay for Mercury tool calls over x402. Required for paid tools; not required for free tools like mercury_catalog and mercury_verify. (example: `<your-base-mainnet-wallet-private-key>`)
Note: The README presents this as a stdio MCP server launched via npx. Although the package can be started with `npx mercury-x402-mcp`, the canonical MCP config shape shown uses `command: npx` with args `-y mercury-x402-mcp`.
Add this MCP server to my current client's config in the correct format for you. If you need secrets or credentials I haven't provided, ASK me — do not invent values or leave raw placeholders. After adding it, tell me how to verify the server is connected.MERCURY_PRIVATE_KEYrequiredBase mainnet wallet private key used to pay per tool callMeta Ads MCP (Facebook + Instagram) - analyze performance, manage budgets, pause campaigns.
