An MCP server for Dutch consolidated legislation (BWB) and Dutch court decisions. It lets an agent search acts by title words, fetch act metadata and consolidated text for a specific date, and retrieve Rechtspraak decisions by ECLI or date range, each with an official citation and source link.
From the registry: MCP server for Dutch consolidated legislation (BWB via KOOP SRU) with verifiable citations.
$ uv --versionhttps://docs.astral.sh/uv/Please install the `nl-eli-mcp` MCP server into my current AI client (that's you).
Optional prerequisites:
- Install uv — Install the uv tool to run the published PyPI package without cloning the repository. Run: `uv --version` (https://docs.astral.sh/uv/)
Canonical MCP server config (stdio transport):
- command: `uvx`
- args: ["nl-eli-mcp"]
- optional environment variables:
- `NL_ELI_BASE_URL`: Base URL for the Dutch KOOP SRU search service. (example: `<your-base-url>`)
- `NL_ELI_CACHE_DIR`: Directory for on-disk cache files. (example: `<your-cache-dir>`)
- `NL_ELI_AUDIT_DIR`: Directory for audit logs. (example: `<your-audit-dir>`)
Note: Prefer the published PyPI path: run via `uvx nl-eli-mcp`. The service uses public keyless Dutch legislation and case-law sources, so no API key is required. The README also shows a local source install path (`pip install -e ".[dev]"`), but the portable one-command path is simpler.
Add this MCP server to my current client's config in the correct format for you. If you need secrets or credentials I haven't provided, ASK me — do not invent values or leave raw placeholders.
