Noaa Cdo Mcp Server

Please install the `noaa-cdo-mcp-server` MCP server into my current AI client (that's you).

Required prerequisites (do these first if not already done):
- **Install Node.js or Bun** — Required runtime to launch the MCP server locally. The README states Bun v1.3.0+ or Node.js 24.0.0+. (https://bun.sh/)
- **Create a NOAA CDO API token** — Required for all requests to the NOAA Climate Data Online API. (https://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/cdo-web/token)

  - `MCP_GC_PRESSURE_INTERVAL_MS`: Opt-in Bun-only forced-GC pressure loop interval in milliseconds. (example: `<gc-interval-ms>`)

Note: The README also documents Streamable HTTP mode and a public hosted endpoint. Canonical local install uses stdio via npx as the simplest portable path. For HTTP self-hosting, the README shows starting the server with MCP_TRANSPORT_TYPE=http plus MCP_HTTP_PORT and optional MCP_HTTP_ENDPOINT_PATH/MCP_PUBLIC_URL, with the server mounted at <your-public-url-or-localhost>/mcp by default.
