MCP server that provides AI assistants access to official Nordic and European business data for company lookup, VAT validation, sanctions screening, KYB reports, address autocomplete, and LEI lookups. It connects to the hosted Nordic Data API and supports 15 EU/European countries plus GB for VAT checks.

Install & configure
Prerequisites

Please install the `nordic-data` MCP server into my current AI client (that's you).
Required prerequisites (do these first if not already done):
- **Get a Nordic Data API key** — Sign up at AddonNordic and obtain your NORDIC_API_KEY. The server will not start without it. (https://addonnordic.com/)
Canonical MCP server config (stdio transport):

- required environment variables:
- `NORDIC_API_KEY`: Your API key from AddonNordic. Required for the server to start and to authenticate requests to the hosted Nordic Data API. (example: `<your-api-key>`)
Note: The README also documents a hosted remote MCP endpoint for web clients and a self-hosted HTTP transport, but the simplest portable install path is stdio via npx. Hosted remote endpoint shown in the README: https://nordic-data-mcp-production.up.railway.app/mcp. Self-hosting HTTP requires building the project locally and setting NORDIC_API_KEY.
