Please install the `openalex-mcp-server` MCP server into my current AI client (that's you).
Canonical MCP server config (stdio transport):

- required environment variables:
- `OPENALEX_API_KEY`: Your email address for the OpenAlex polite pool (10x faster rate limits). (example: `<[email protected]>`)
- optional environment variables:
- `OPENALEX_BASE_URL`: OpenAlex API base URL. (example: `https://api.openalex.org`)
- `MCP_TRANSPORT_TYPE`: Transport mode. (example: `stdio`)
Note: Email is technically not required by OpenAlex but strongly recommended for rate limits. Public hosted server also available at https://openalex.caseyjhand.com/mcp.
