Prerequisites

- `OPENCHARGEMAP_BASE_URL`: Override the Open Charge Map API base URL for a private mirror or testing. (example: `<your-openchargemap-base-url>`)
- `OPENCHARGEMAP_REFERENCE_REFRESH`: When true, refresh reference data from the live /referencedata endpoint at startup; when false, use the bundled offline snapshot. (example: `<true-or-false>`)
- `MCP_HTTP_PORT`: Port for HTTP transport. Not used for stdio mode. (example: `<your-port>`)
- `MCP_AUTH_MODE`: Authentication mode: none, jwt, or oauth. (example: `<none-or-jwt-or-oauth>`)
- `LOGS_DIR`: Directory for log files (Node.js only). (example: `<your-logs-directory>`)
- `STORAGE_PROVIDER_TYPE`: Storage backend type. (example: `<your-storage-provider-type>`)
- `OTEL_ENABLED`: Enable OpenTelemetry instrumentation. (example: `<true-or-false>`)
Note: The README also provides a hosted Streamable HTTP endpoint at <https://openchargemap.caseyjhand.com/mcp> and a self-hosted HTTP mode, but the simplest portable local install path is stdio via npx. Canonical hosted HTTP shape would be URL https://openchargemap.caseyjhand.com/mcp with no headers specified.

Get the full record for one station by numeric OCM ID, including connections, access rules, cost, media, and reliability note.

Resolve Open Charge Map reference names to the integer IDs needed by search filters, using an offline bundled snapshot.

Return community check-ins, fault reports, and related station status details for one station.
