An MCP server that provides full-text search, law retrieval, article extraction, and live metadata for Canton Zurich legislation (ZH-Lex). It uses a local SQLite/FTS5 cache for about 974 laws and fetches current validity status and PDF links from zh.ch.
From the registry: Canton Zurich legislation via ZH-Lex with full-text search and article extraction

Please install the `openlex-mcp` MCP server into my current AI client (that's you).
Required prerequisites (do these first if not already done):
- **Install Python 3.11+** — Python 3.11 or newer is required to run the server. (https://www.python.org/downloads/)
- **Install uv** — Install uv to run the server via uvx, which is the simplest portable path shown in the README. (https://docs.astral.sh/uv/)
- **Internet connection for initial data download** — The first start downloads and indexes the legal dataset; live metadata requests also require internet access.
Canonical MCP server config (stdio transport):
- command: `uvx`
- args: ["openlex-mcp"]
Note: README includes multiple run modes. Preferred canonical install path is uvx per the generated install section. The server also supports HTTP/SSE mode, but the README does not provide a canonical client config shape for HTTP beyond a browser URL example. No API key or auth is required.
Add this MCP server to my current client's config in the correct format for you. If you need secrets or credentials I haven't provided, ASK me — do not invent values or leave raw placeholders. After adding it, tell me how to verify the server is connected.MCP_HOSTrequiredSets the HTTP bind host for the server; needed for cloud/container deployment when exposing the serviceMCP_PORTrequiredSets the HTTP port for the serverMCP server for searching Airweave collections with natural language queries.
