An MCP server for opn.onl that lets AI assistants shorten URLs, view link analytics, generate QR codes, and manage links. It works with the hosted opn.onl service or a self-hosted opn instance.
From the registry: MCP server for opn.onl: shorten links, analytics, branded QR codes, and link management.
Please install the `opn-mcp` MCP server into my current AI client (that's you).
Required prerequisites (do these first if not already done):
- **Create an opn API key** — In your opn.onl instance, go to Settings → API Keys, create an API key, and copy it. The key starts with `opn_` and is shown once.
Canonical MCP server config (stdio transport):
- command: `npx`
- args: ["-y","opn-mcp"]
- required environment variables:
- `OPN_API_KEY`: Your opn.onl API key from Settings → API Keys. (example: `<your-opn-api-key>`)
- optional environment variables:
- `OPN_BASE_URL`: API base URL for a self-hosted opn instance. Omit to use the hosted default service. (example: `<your-opn-base-url>`)
Note: Default install path uses the hosted opn API. For self-hosted deployments, set OPN_BASE_URL. The README also mentions a fallback install path if the package is not published to npm yet: use `npx -y github:ysalitrynskyi/opn-mcp` with the same environment variables.
Add this MCP server to my current client's config in the correct format for you. If you need secrets or credentials I haven't provided, ASK me — do not invent values or leave raw placeholders. After adding it, tell me how to verify the server is connected.OPN_API_KEYrequiredAPI key for the opn.onl instanceOPN_BASE_URLAPI base URL for a self-hosted instance; defaults to https://l.opn.onlMeta Ads MCP (Facebook + Instagram) - analyze performance, manage budgets, pause campaigns.
