Install & configure
Prerequisites

Note: Preferred transport is HTTP. Start the server locally with `bun run start` (default streamable HTTP on port 39001). The README also documents an optional stdio mode via `bun run src/index.ts --stdio`, but the primary documented client configuration uses the HTTP endpoint. Optional environment variables for the server process: PACKETTRACER_MCP_HOST (HTTP bind host, default 127.0.0.1), PACKETTRACER_MCP_PORT (HTTP port, default 39001), PACKETTRACER_BRIDGE_PORT (Packet Tracer bridge polling port, default 54321), PACKET_TRACER_SNAPSHOT_DIR (snapshot directory, default ./packet-tracer-snapshots).
