An MCP server that stores a shared knowledge graph for multiple codebases, mapping features, endpoints, screens, files, and type/schema relationships across projects. It supports scanning projects, searching cross-project context, detecting impacts of file changes, validating stale paths, and persisting the graph to a JSON file.
From the registry: Cross-project knowledge graph for MCP — map features across mobile, backend, and admin codebases.
Please install the `project-knowledge-mcp` MCP server into my current AI client (that's you).
Required prerequisites (do these first if not already done):
- **Install Node.js** — Node.js version 18 or newer is required to run the MCP server. (https://nodejs.org/)
- **Install npm** — npm version 9 or newer is required. Equivalent package managers are mentioned, but the recommended portable run path uses npx. (https://npmjs.com)
- **Create a shared knowledge file location** — Choose an absolute path for the knowledge JSON file. If you use multiple IDE windows or separate project directories, point every server instance at the same file with --knowledge-file.
Canonical MCP server config (stdio transport):
- command: `npx`
- args: ["-y","project-knowledge-mcp","--knowledge-file","<absolute-path-to-project-knowledge.json>"]
Note: Transport is stdio via npx. No environment variables are required; all configuration is passed as CLI flags. Optional startup flags include --backend-path <absolute-path-to-backend>, --backend-framework <nestjs|nextjs|react-native|auto>, --backend-name <backend-name>, --mobile-path <absolute-path-to-mobile>, --mobile-framework <framework>, --mobile-name <mobile-name>, --admin-path <absolute-path-to-admin>, --admin-framework <framework>, and --admin-name <admin-name>. The README strongly recommends using --knowledge-file with an absolute path so all IDE windows share the same knowledge graph.
Add this MCP server to my current client's config in the correct format for you. If you need secrets or credentials I haven't provided, ASK me — do not invent values or leave raw placeholders. After adding it, tell me how to verify the server is connected.MCP server for searching Airweave collections with natural language queries.
