Join the engineering team building the intelligent backbone of Splunk Observability Cloud to research, develop, and deploy core analytical components for streaming anomaly detection, predictive intelligence, and automated root-cause analysis at petabyte scale. The role emphasizes applying Generative and Agentic AI to enable AI features, ensuring trustworthiness and resilience of AI systems, and delivering production-grade ML capabilities across cloud-native and hybrid environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate scalable cloud-based systems and ML-driven analytical components.
- Apply Generative AI and Agentic AI techniques to enable AI features within the product.
- Collaborate across engineering and product teams to establish frameworks for evaluating AI trustworthiness and resilience.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and establish practices for development, testing, and artifact management.
- Deliver end-to-end ownership of features, including architecture, implementation, deployment, and monitoring.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in computer science or related field with 7+ years of software engineering experience, or a bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience.
- Experience designing and building scalable cloud-based systems on AWS, Azure, or GCP, including container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
- Proven technical leadership, architecture design, and end-to-end feature ownership in AI/ML or platform domains.
- Experience with API design and frameworks (OpenAPI, GraphQL, gRPC, REST).
- Prior experience delivering RAG and Agentic products into production.
- Expert use of vibe coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Copilot, Windsurf, Cursor).
- Up-to-date knowledge of Agentic and Generative AI industry trends and frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex requirements.
- Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining applications in AWS with cloud-native solutions.
- Experience monitoring and analyzing metrics, traces, spans, and logs.
- Background in observability, generative AI, or model robustness.
