  • Apply Generative AI and Agentic AI to enable AI features in Splunk Observability products.
  • Deliver retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and agentic products into production.
  • Collaborate across engineering and product teams to define evaluation frameworks for AI trustworthiness and resilience.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship; establish best practices for development, testing, and artifact management.
  • Own end-to-end feature design, architecture, and delivery in AI/ML or platform domains.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in computer science or related field with 6+ years of software engineering experience, or bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience.
  • Experience designing and building scalable cloud-based systems on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Proven technical leadership, architecture design, and end-to-end feature ownership experience.
  • Experience with API design and frameworks (OpenAPI, GraphQL, gRPC, REST).
  • Prior hands-on experience delivering RAG and agentic products to production.
  • Proficiency with modern code-assist/vibe coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Copilot, Windsurf, and Cursor.
  • Current knowledge of Agentic and Generative AI trends and frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-native applications in AWS.
  • Experience monitoring and analyzing metrics, traces, spans, and logs.
  • Background in observability, generative AI, or model robustness.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex requirements.

Compensation & Benefits (summary)

  • Posted starting salary range for U.S./Canada locations: $183,800.00 to $263,600.00.
