Product Designer I (Design Systems) responsible for shaping, scaling, and operationalizing Innovaccer’s design system to enable fast, consistent product delivery. The role builds reusable components, tokens, documentation, and collaborates with engineering while leveraging AI-assisted workflows to accelerate prototyping and production-ready UI generation.

Role
Product Designer I – Design Systems responsible for defining and scaling the company design system to ensure consistency and speed across products. Work sits at the intersection of design, engineering, and AI workflows to create reusable components, tokens, patterns, and documentation that enable efficient design-to-development handoff.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design, evolution, and governance of the company design system.
- Build and maintain a scalable component library including tokens, components, patterns, and documentation.
- Collaborate closely with frontend engineers to ensure accurate and scalable implementation of components.
- Define and maintain design tokens, interaction patterns, layout principles, and accessibility guidelines.
- Create clear documentation, usage guidelines, and best practices for designers and engineers.
- Support product designers in adopting the design system across multiple product surfaces.
- Conduct UI audits and refactoring to increase component reuse and reduce inconsistency.
- Ensure support for responsive design, accessibility standards (WCAG), and cross-platform scalability.
- Leverage AI tools and vibe coding workflows to accelerate design exploration and prototyping.
- Evolve AI-assisted workflows to generate scalable, production-ready product interfaces.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in Product Design, UI/UX Design, or similar roles.
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience contributing to or building a design system or component library.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating design system work (reusable components, tokens, patterns, or documentation).
- Strong proficiency with Figma (components, variants, auto-layout, libraries, tokens) or equivalent tools.
- Experience using AI tools to accelerate design workflows and prototyping.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to collaborate with frontend engineers.
- Strong understanding of visual design systems, interaction design, and usability principles.
- Knowledge of responsive design and accessibility standards (WCAG).
Good to Have
- Experience working with design tokens and design-to-code pipelines.
- Familiarity with Storybook or component documentation platforms.
- Exposure to frontend frameworks such as React or Vue.
- Experience maintaining multi-product or multi-platform design systems.
- Experience experimenting with AI-assisted UI generation or design-to-code workflows.
Portfolio Requirement
Applicants must include a portfolio showcasing at least one design system or component library and one project where AI tools were used to build a usable experience. Highlight reusable components, tokens, system documentation, or design-to-development collaboration.
