Job Description
Role
Agentic AI Engineer responsible for designing and developing complex LLM- and machine-learning-driven systems used in regulated digital therapeutics. The role includes independent research, prototyping, architectural decision-making and advising internal teams on AI tool development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex LLM- and machine-learning-based systems
- Conduct independent research, prototyping and make architecture decisions
- Develop next-generation digital therapeutics with real-world clinical impact
- Advise and build AI tools for internal departments
Requirements
- Education: Minimum Master’s degree; STEM/ML-relevant degrees strongly preferred (a pure CS degree without ML focus is not sufficient)
- Experience: At least 2 years of relevant professional experience after the Master (a PhD counts as relevant experience)
- Languages: Fluent English and good German (must be able to understand and discuss technical content in German)
- Demonstrable track record: GitHub, papers, open-source contributions or personal projects
- Solid understanding of statistics and data science beyond high-level concepts
- EU residence rights or Blue Card required
Location & Work Model
- Full-time position. Remote within Germany, location listed as Hamburg, Germany. EU residence rights required.
