Role
The AI Agile Product Manager represents stakeholder needs to one or more Agile teams (a Team of Agile Teams / Agile Release Train), defines and communicates product vision, manages program-level epics and initiatives, and drives delivery of customer-centered AI-enabled solutions. The role combines program-level product ownership, portfolio interactions, and hands-on prototyping to validate ideas.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand customer needs and participate in validation of proposed solutions.
- Develop and communicate vision for scrum teams and coordinate across teams.
- Manage program Epic/Initiative backlog at the Agile Lean Program level.
- Partner with stakeholders to build business cases for epics/features and make scope decisions based on customer understanding.
- Use KPIs to measure product performance and design/running evaluations to assess outcomes.
- Support portfolio work including budget parameters, strategic themes, and securing funding.
- Collaborate with system and solution architects on technical sequencing and decisions.
- Build and mentor product manager/product owner teams across multiple trains/value streams.
- Drive business value delivery at the program level and apply Agile at scale.
- Manage backlog, facilitate sprint planning, and write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and evaluation frameworks.
- Launch and scale products in complex or regulated industries.
- Code and build prototypes to validate ideas and accelerate innovation.
Requirements
- BA/BS (or equivalent education/experience) and a minimum of 8 years of experience writing business/functional requirements and implementing Agile methodologies.
- SAFe (SA) certification required.
- Experience applying Agile at scale and managing program-level backlogs and delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
- CSPO or equivalent (Certified Scrum Product Owner) and/or SAFE Product Owner/Product Manager experience preferred.
- Demonstrated success leading AI-enabled product development and integrating large language models, predictive analytics, or automation into solutions.
- Strong experience delivering digital products (mobile apps, portals, self-service platforms) that improve user experience and adoption.
- Experience scaling Agile practices (e.g., SAFe, LeSS) across large, complex organizations.
- Experience identifying and developing product opportunities at the intersection of AI, healthcare data, and digital experience.
- Experience with vibe coding and hands-on prototyping preferred.
Location & Work Model
- Hybrid role: associates are required to be in-office at least one day per week. Ideal locations: Atlanta, GA or Indianapolis, IN; alternate locations considered if within commuting distance to an office.
