AI-Assisted Developer / Prompt Engineer (Entry-Level)
Explicitly experiments with "vibe coding"—rapid prototyping using AI assistants like Claude for iterative development.
About the Role
Entry-level AI-assisted developer / prompt engineer role focused on using AI coding tools (notably Claude) to generate, debug, and iterate code through precise prompts and rapid prototyping. The primary goal is to translate requirements into AI-driven solutions, document prompts and outputs, and collaborate with teams while demonstrating clear communication and problem-solving.
Job Description
Role
An entry-level AI-assisted developer / prompt engineer role focused on leveraging AI coding tools—especially Claude—to generate, iterate, and refine code via well-structured prompts. The position emphasizes prompt engineering, rapid prototyping with AI, clear communication, and practical problem solving rather than deep expertise in a single tech stack. This is a remote position.
Key Responsibilities
- Use AI tools like Claude to generate code from structured prompts
- Debug, refine, and iterate AI-generated outputs toward production-ready solutions
- Break down problems into structured prompts and workflows
- Experiment with “vibe coding” approaches for rapid prototyping using AI assistance
- Document prompts, outputs, and learnings clearly
- Collaborate with internal teams to translate requirements into AI-driven solutions
- Communicate ideas, challenges, and solutions clearly in spoken and written English
Requirements
Core (Non-Negotiable)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong clarity of thought and ability to explain concepts simply
- Basic programming understanding (language-agnostic; examples: Python, JavaScript)
- Familiarity with AI coding tools like Claude or similar
- Ability to write structured prompts and refine them based on outputs
Preferred
- Internship experience (2–3 months) in development, automation, or AI-related work
- Experience using AI tools to build small applications, automate workflows, or generate scripts/utilities
- Exposure to prompt engineering concepts, debugging AI-generated code, and rapid prototyping
Evaluation Criteria
- Demonstrated real usage of AI tools (practical examples, not just theoretical)
- Quality of prompts and iteration process
- Communication clarity and fluency
- Practical thinking and problem-solving approach
- Examples of projects, college work, or internships
Nice-to-Have
- GitHub or portfolio showcasing AI-assisted projects
- Experience with multiple AI tools beyond Claude
- Basic understanding of APIs, automation, or integrations
