AI Automation Engineer - MERN Stack (Claude/OpenAI APIs)

Role

Contract AI Productivity & Automation Specialist (Remote) responsible for designing and building AI-powered tools, automations, and workflows to increase team and business productivity. The role focuses on integrating AI APIs and automation platforms into existing applications and developer workflows, and on creating AI-assisted solutions for software teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and implement AI-powered tools, automations, and workflows to improve productivity.
• Design AI agents and automation workflows using platforms such as n8n, Make, Zapier, OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, or similar tools.
• Identify repetitive development and business processes and automate them using AI-driven solutions.
• Integrate AI APIs and third-party tools with existing applications and business workflows.
• Develop prompt engineering pipelines, AI workflows, and internal developer productivity tools.
• Research and evaluate emerging AI tools and implement those that provide measurable productivity improvements.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience building AI automations, AI agents, or AI-powered products.
• Experience with automation platforms (n8n, Make, Zapier or similar).
• Strong understanding of AI APIs/tools such as OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, etc.
• Experience in prompt engineering and AI workflow design.
• Ability to integrate AI into existing applications, tools, and business workflows.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to independently research and implement new AI technologies.
• Experience working with or supporting software development teams (preferred).
