Role
Hunter Douglas is hiring an AI Data Scientist for its AI Analytics & Digital Transformation team to develop and operationalize AI/ML solutions that improve forecasting, inventory optimization, automation, and decision intelligence across supply chain, manufacturing, sales, and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy advanced AI/ML models and algorithms to improve operational efficiency and forecasting accuracy.
- Conduct data exploration, feature engineering, and model tuning to ensure accuracy and robustness.
- Monitor, retrain, and optimize models post-deployment to maintain performance as data and business conditions evolve.
- Apply methods including neural networks, reinforcement learning, NLP, and generative AI to business problems.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate challenges into data-driven solutions and communicate results to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Work with data engineers and IT to ensure scalable data pipelines and model deployment; partner with vendors and consultants as needed.
- Experiment with AI coding assistants and contribute to creation of custom AI copilots and prompt libraries.
- Contribute to the AI strategy roadmap and prototype intelligent process automations for planning, logistics, quality, and operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, or related).
- 5+ years of experience in AI/ML model development, deployment, and performance optimization in a business or industrial context.
- Strong proficiency in Python, R, or SQL.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience in predictive modeling, optimization, and time-series forecasting (preferably in supply chain or operations).
- Knowledge of data visualization and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and collaborative development practices.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, or related discipline.
- Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or consumer goods industries.
- Knowledge of IoT analytics, predictive maintenance, or computer vision in industrial applications.
- Experience with ERP and supply chain systems (SAP, Kinaxis, Oracle).
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver measurable business impact.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual base salary range: $95,000 - $125,000
- Bonus target range: 20% - 25%
