Role
Waymo is hiring an AI Enablement Lead (hybrid, Mountain View) to define the roadmap and lead delivery of AI-driven solutions across business systems. You will report to the Senior Manager, Supply Chain & GTM Systems and partner with business units to identify automation opportunities and ensure seamless integration between AI agents and enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategize and define roadmap for AI-driven solutions across business systems leveraging GCP and SaaS ecosystems (Salesforce, SAP, Workday, ServiceNow).
- Lead discovery and design: map business processes, identify high-value automation opportunities, and define agent roles, capabilities, and governance guardrails.
- Develop and prototype proofs-of-concept using LLMs, agent frameworks, and workflow orchestration tools to validate requirements.
- Provide technical oversight: review code and prompts, guide system design decisions, and define evaluation methodologies and performance benchmarks.
- Partner with Finance, HR, Sales, Supply Chain and Marketing to apply AI for automating complex processes and removing manual bottlenecks.
- Oversee integration and deployment: ensure connectivity between AI agents and enterprise systems via APIs, data pipelines, and workflow platforms.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience focused on building and shipping AI/ML products.
- 10+ years of professional experience across data engineering or business intelligence disciplines.
- Mandatory hands-on experience using GenAI tools (vibe-coding) to turn prompts into small prototypes and validate requirements.
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience with modern AI/ML frameworks (e.g., LangChain, Vertex AI Agent Builder, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Experience with GCP, Vertex AI, A2A, MCP and ADK frameworks and their application in enterprise systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related field.
- Experience applying Generative AI (LLMs) to enterprise business intelligence.
- Background in data engineering or data warehousing principles.
- Experience with business intelligence tools and dashboarding technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver projects from conception to launch.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range (US locations): $158,000—$200,000 USD.
- Eligible for discretionary annual bonus program, equity incentive plan, and company benefits program.
