AI Engineer (Catalyst)

Role

Fifth Dimension is seeking an early-career AI Engineer to help define and scale AI-first engineering practices. You will prototype rapidly with AI coding tools, own features end-to-end, and ship production-quality work that serves enterprise real estate customers across US, EU, and APAC.

Key Responsibilities

• Ship features to production multiple times per day using AI-augmented workflows (Claude Code, Codex).
• Own features end-to-end: problem discovery, implementation, deployment, and measuring impact.
• Build and evolve the AI intelligence platform, including agentic workflows and evaluation infrastructure.
• Rapidly prototype approaches, run evaluations against a test suite, and iterate based on data.
• Pair with staff and principal engineers to combine domain and architectural expertise with AI-augmented development speed.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Customer Success, and Solutions Engineers to stay customer-focused.
• Contribute to engineering culture by sharing learnings about prompting techniques, tooling, and AI-first workflows.
• Write clear, tested, maintainable code.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience shipping software (personal projects, open source, freelance, startup, or professional).
• Daily fluency with AI coding tools such as Claude Code and Codex.
• Strong programming fundamentals, particularly in Python and TypeScript (other languages welcome).
• Ability to read, reason about, and debug code that AI helped produce.
• Comfort with rapid experimentation: prototype fast, measure outcomes, and iterate.
• Clear communication, intellectual curiosity, and a product-minded approach.
• Willingness to learn from and work alongside senior engineers; ambition and resilience.

Nice to Have

• Contributions to open-source projects.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP preferred) or infrastructure tooling.
• Past exposure to real estate, law, or finance domains.
• Experience building or fine-tuning with LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI, etc.).
• Public writing or community contributions about AI-first development.

Location & Travel

• Roles are based around Fifth Dimension’s offices in London, New York, and Singapore, with opportunities to travel between offices.
• The company operates across US, EU, and APAC enterprise customers.

Compensation & Benefits

• Up to £120,000 (London/Singapore) or $200,000 (New York) plus meaningful equity on a standard vesting schedule.

Interview Process
