Role
Staff/Principal AI Engineer reporting to the CTO. Architect and implement scalable generative AI technology that solves enterprise customers’ document-heavy workflows (leases, planning documents, market reports). Own the full lifecycle of core product capabilities from initial customer discovery through architecture, implementation, deployment, and customer adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of complex features from concept to production and customer adoption.
- Design and implement advanced data extraction systems for processing property leases at scale.
- Build workflow automation for analyzing planning documents and drafting advice.
- Develop multi-step agentic content generation for market research and reporting.
- Implement security and data privacy by design.
- Collaborate with product and commercial teams to translate customer needs into technical solutions.
- Mentor other engineers and help establish engineering best practices.
- Stay current with relevant research and technologies and apply them where appropriate.
- Use AI coding assistance tools to accelerate development workflows.
Requirements
- Extensive software engineering and architecture experience, with a track record of shipping customer-facing features on critical paths.
- Strong Python skills.
- Experience building and maintaining high-quality APIs and integrations.
- Proficiency with AI coding assistance tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot).
- Experience working in high-growth startups or fast-paced tech environments and owning end-to-end product development.
- Strong communication skills for explaining complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to make technical decisions balancing immediate user needs with long-term architecture.
- Intellectual curiosity, resilience, and a product-minded engineering approach.
