Explicitly requires vibe coding skills—uses LLM-powered tools (Claude, Replit, GitHub Copilot) for rapid prototyping and AI-assisted development.

About the Role

Hybrid role combining hands-on AI-first full‑stack engineering with product ownership to rapidly prototype, harden, and ship MVPs. Use LLM-powered vibe coding tools (Claude, Replit, GitHub Copilot) to iterate on features while owning product vision, backlog, and stakeholder alignment within a SAFe Agile Release Train.

Job Description

Role

PPG is hiring an AI-First MVP Engineer and Product Owner to combine AI-first software development and product ownership. You will rapidly prototype LLM-powered features, refine them for production, and migrate prototypes into enterprise-ready implementations while owning the product vision, backlog, and stakeholder alignment.

Key Responsibilities

Vibe Engineering

  • Rapidly prototype features using LLM-powered tools (Claude, Replit, GitHub Copilot).
  • Refine AI-generated code for production readiness and migrate prototypes into enterprise implementations on AWS or Azure.
  • Collaborate with engineers and AI agents in pair-programming workflows.
  • Maintain technical documentation and contribute to architectural decisions.
  • Build full-stack applications using .NET (C#) for backend services and Angular (with RxJS) for front-end UI.
  • Ensure secure-by-design and scalable implementation patterns during MVP hardening.

Product Ownership

  • Develop product vision, requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Define and prioritize product features aligned with business goals and own the backlog.
  • Participate in Agile/SAFe events and coordinate with Solution Architects, Business Owners, and Front Line IT.
  • Drive customer-centric innovation through fast feedback loops and define success metrics for each MVP (e.g., cycle time reduction, revenue enablement, cost savings).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years in software engineering.
  • Familiarity with Azure or AWS platforms.
  • Strong expertise in .NET / C# (API development, microservices, service integrations) and Angular (UI development, component architecture, RxJS).
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and modern DevOps practices.
  • Experience with GenAI tools and vibe coding workflows, including strong natural language prompt writing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS or Azure certification (Developer Associate, Architect Associate, or equivalent).
  • Prior Tech Lead experience.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and event-driven design.
  • Understanding of secure coding practices and enterprise architectural patterns.
  • Customer-facing experience in sales or marketing and familiarity with industrial systems, IoT, or automation platforms.
  • Experience with AI/ML deployment in enterprise environments and strong analytical/storytelling skills for building MVP value cases.

Location & Reporting

  • Hybrid role (3 days in office) based in Pittsburgh, reporting to the Group Product Manager AI/ML.

Ways of Working

  • Operate within a SAFe Agile Release Train and collaborate across engineering, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver MVPs.
