AI Innovation Associate (Vibe Coder) - Channel Technology and Sales Strategy Team
Explicitly requires vibe coding: commanding LLMs/AI agents (e.g., Gemini) and using AI-native dev environments to rapidly prototype and iterate.
About the Role
TELUS is hiring an AI-first Technical Product Manager (called a Vibe Coder) to rapidly build and iterate AI-driven prototypes for Sales, BI, and Marketing. The role commands LLMs and agentic workflows to produce working demos that solve friction across leads, opportunities, sales telephony, and conversational intelligence.
Job Description
Role
Technical Product Manager (Prototyping) / “Vibe Coder” on the Channel Technology and Sales Strategy team. Lead end-to-end rapid prototyping efforts that reduce friction for Sales, BI, and Marketing by commanding AI agents and LLMs to generate functional demo applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full prototyping lifecycle for core pillars: Leads, Opportunities, Sales Telephony, and Conversational Intelligence.
- Shadow Sales, BI, and Marketing to identify real-world friction and translate needs into structured logic and functional designs.
- Personally develop functional prototypes using AI-native development environments, commanding LLMs and agentic workflows to generate code and systems.
- Integrate Gemini-powered summaries and real-time data in collaboration with the Agentic AI Sales Team.
- Prioritize speed and flexibility to produce proof-of-concept models that can be tested and iterated on within days or weeks.
- Document logic, prompt architecture, and design decisions to enable traditional engineering teams to harden prototypes for production.
- Conduct testing and validation to ensure prototypes meet functional requirements prior to hand-off.
Requirements
Must-haves
- Maker mentality with an AI-first mindset and willingness to experiment and iterate quickly.
- Understanding of fundamentals of logic and code, with experience reading and interpreting code (Python, JavaScript, or equivalent).
- Product-first thinking with experience gathering requirements from end users (Sales, Marketing, or business teams) and translating them into technical designs or prototypes.
- Strong communication skills to translate vague business requests into specific technical prompts and designs for AI.
Nice-to-haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
- Proven history of shipping functional prototypes or proofs-of-concept within 1–4 weeks.
Compensation & Location
- Location: Toronto, ON (M5J 2V5).
- Salary Range: $70,000 - $120,000 (currency not specified in posting).
- Performance Bonus / Sales Incentive Plan: 12%.
Why This Role
- High-visibility, strategic position within a small, entrepreneurial team inside a large company.
- Lead with modern AI tooling and drive rapid innovation rather than manual boilerplate work.
- Flexible work arrangements and access to tools and technology to work remotely or in-office.
